The Texas Rainmaker Award acknowledges exceptional leaders making lasting impacts in Texas water.

Texas Water Foundation was proud to honor Comptroller Glenn Hegar as the 2024 Rainmaker of the Year.

On September 24th, 300 water champions gathered at the Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin, TX for the 10th Rainmaker Award Dinner. With the national focus on how we finance secure water infrastructure, the recent creation of the Texas Water Fund, and state discussions turning toward dedicated funding for water infrastructure, we are fortunate to have a water champion in the Texas Comptroller. “The future of Texas, the future of our economy, the future of this great State, is going to depend on durable infrastructure and water”, Glenn Hegar, 2024.
